Kyoto in cherry blossom season

Went in early April and the timing was perfect. Philosopher's Path was like walking through a pink tunnel. Kinkaku-ji was breathtaking with blossoms framing the golden pavilion. The crowds were intense but manageable if you go early morning. Fushimi Inari at sunrise with barely anyone around was the highlight of the whole trip.
