Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro
★★★★☆
Ishiguro writes from the perspective of an AI companion with such tenderness. Klara's observations about humans are both naive and profoundly insightful. The slow realization of her situation is heartbreaking. It's a quiet book — no action, no twists — but it lingers. Made me think about consciousness and what it means to truly see someone.

Ishiguro is a genius. Never Let Me Go wrecked me too.
